Why Ancient-Future Faith?

An ANCIENT-FUTURE FAITH is a faith that is carried on the winds of God’s love from the beginning of time into eternity.  The ancient scriptures that comprise the Holy Bible bear testimony to God’s love in action.  From the wind of the Spirit of God over the creation of the earth in Genesis chapter one, to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ in the Gospels and the wind of the Spirit being given to the Church in Acts chapter two, we find ancient prophecies that pointed to the time, the place, the people in which His Christ would come.  They also contain ancient prophecies that point to things that have yet to happen; things about the Church, the world in which we live now, and eternity.

When you read the Acts of the Apostles, a book within the New Testament portion of the Bible, you find the very early Church in action.  It is marvelous!  But that is not the church that we are called to be.  That was the Church that launched us.  The early Church had an expectation that the future Church would be even greater than it was, demonstrating with mighty signs, wonders and miracles, the manifestation of God’s power and love.  The Lord Jesus Christ also expected the future Church to operate in greater signs, wonders and miracles as His love and power through His Holy Spirit works in us.  We aspire to be part of that future Church with an ancient faith that is still the faith of the future.  A faith through which the ancient and awesome power of God’s love is made manifest in healed bodies and changed lives.  Join us, as the mighty winds of God’s love continue to reach out to today’s world and into the future.
